It is narrated from Sayyiduna Muawiyah bin Haydah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: You will be raised in three ways: some people will be mounted, some will be walking, and some will be walking on their faces. On the Day of Resurrection, you will complete the number seventy, while you are the last Ummah and the most honored in the sight of Allah Almighty. There will be seals on your faces, and your thighs will be the first to speak. Ibn Abi Bukair narrated that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) pointed towards the land of Sham and said: You will be gathered there.

Hadith Takhrij«اسناده حسن، أخرجه ابن ماجه : 234، والنسائي: 5/ 4، 82 ، (انظر مسند أحمد ترقيم الرسالة: 20011 ترقیم بيت الأفكار الدولية: 20258، 20259، 20260»
Brief Explanation
Benefits: … On the Day of Resurrection, there will be a total of seventy nations; the nation of the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam will be the most numerous of all.
Those with perfect faith will go mounted, while believing people with both good and bad deeds will go on foot.
The greatest disgrace will be for those who are walking on their faces instead of their feet; these will be the disbelievers. Regarding them, Allah the Exalted has said: { وَمَنْیُّضْلِلْفَلَنْتَجِدَلَہُمْاَوْلِیَاءَمِنْدُوْنِہٖوَنَحْشُرُہُمْیَوْمَالْقِیٰمَۃِعَلٰیوُجُوْہِہِمْعُمْیًاوَّبُکْمًاوَّصُمًّامَاْوٰیہُمْجَہَنَّمُکُلَّمَاخَبَتْزِدْنٰہُمْسَعِیْرًا } … And whomever He leads astray, you will never find for them any helpers besides Him, and on the Day of Resurrection We will gather them on their faces, blind, dumb, and deaf; their abode will be Hell. Whenever it subsides, We will increase for them the blazing flame. (Surah Al-Isra: 97)
It is considered more eloquent in argument and reasoning for non-speaking things to bear witness as compared to speaking ones. This subject has also been mentioned in the Noble Qur’an, as Allah the Exalted says: {حَتّٰیاِِذَامَاجَائُوْہَاشَہِدَعَلَیْہِمْسَمْعُہُمْوَاَبْصَارُہُمْوَجُلُودُہُمْبِمَاکَانُوْایَعْمَلُوْنَo وَقَالُوْالِجُلُودِہِمْلِمَشَہِدْتُمْعَلَیْنَاقَالُوْااَنطَقَنَااللّٰہُالَّذِیْاَنطَقَکُلَّشَیْئٍ } (Surah Ha Mim As-Sajdah: 20, 21) … When they (the enemies of Allah) will come near the Fire, their ears, their eyes, and their skins will bear witness against them regarding what they used to do. They will say to their skins, “Why did you testify against us?” They will reply, “Allah, Who gave speech to all things, has given us speech.” This subject is also mentioned in Surah Ya-Sin.
These are the terrifying scenes of the Plain of Gathering. May Allah protect us from His wrath by His grace.
