Hadith 13030

وَعَنِ ابْنِ السَّعْدِيِّ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ ”لَا تَنْقَطِعُ الْهِجْرَةُ مَا دَامَ الْعَدُوُّ يُقَاتَلُ“ فَقَالَ مُعَاوِيَةُ وَعَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ عَوْفٍ وَعَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ عَمْرِو بْنِ الْعَاصِ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ ”إِنَّ الْهِجْرَةَ خَصْلَتَانِ إِحْدَاهُمَا أَنْ تَهْجُرَ السَّيِّئَاتِ وَالْأُخْرَى أَنْ تُهَاجِرَ إِلَى اللَّهِ وَرَسُولِهِ وَلَا تَنْقَطِعُ الْهِجْرَةُ مَا تُقُبِّلَتِ التَّوْبَةُ وَلَا تَزَالُ التَّوْبَةُ مَقْبُولَةً حَتَّى تَطْلُعَ الشَّمْسُ مِنَ الْمَغْرِبِ فَإِذَا طَلَعَتْ طُبِعَ عَلَى كُلِّ قَلْبٍ بِمَا فِيهِ وَكُفِيَ النَّاسُ الْعَمَلَ“
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Sa'di (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: As long as fighting with the enemy continues, migration cannot be discontinued. And Sayyiduna Mu'awiyah, Sayyiduna Abdur Rahman bin Awf, and Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Amr bin Aas narrated that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: There are two types of migration; one is that you abandon evil deeds, and the other is that you migrate towards Allah Almighty and His Messenger. As long as repentance is accepted by Allah Almighty, the process of migration will not be discontinued, and repentance will continue to be accepted until the sun rises from the west. When the sun rises from the west, then whatever is in every heart (in the form of disbelief or faith and deeds), a seal will be set upon it, and at that time, people will be made independent of action.
