مَا يُصِيبُ النَّاسَ مِنَ الشَّدَّةِ قَبْلَ ظُهُورِ الدَّجَّالِ بثلاث سِنِينَ وَمَا يَفْعَلُهُ مَعَهُمْ وَقَتَ ظُهُورِهِWhat will befall people of hardship three years before the appearance of the Dajjal, and what he will do to them at the time of his appearance

وَعَنْ عَائِشَةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهَا أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ ذَكَرَ جَهْدًا يَكُونُ بَيْنَ يَدَيِ الدَّجَّالِ فَقَالُوا أَيُّ الْمَالِ خَيْرٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ قَالَ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ ”غُلَامٌ شَدِيدٌ يَسْقِي أَهْلَهُ الْمَاءَ وَأَمَّا الطَّعَامُ فَلَيْسَ“ قَالُوا فَمَا طَعَامُ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ يَوْمَئِذٍ قَالَ ”التَّسْبِيحُ وَالتَّقْدِيسُ وَالتَّحْمِيدُ وَالتَّهْلِيلُ“ قَالَتْ عَائِشَةُ فَأَيْنَ الْعَرَبُ يَوْمَئِذٍ قَالَ ”الْعَرَبُ يَوْمَئِذٍ قَلِيلٌ“
It is narrated from Sayyida Aisha Siddiqa (may Allah be pleased with her) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him and his family) spoke about a time of great hardship before the appearance of Dajjal. The companions asked: In those days, what wealth will be better? The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him and his family) said: A strong slave, who will be able to give water to his masters. As for food, there will be none at all. The companions asked: Then what will be the food of the believers in those days? The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him and his family) said: The glorification, sanctification, praise, and declaration of the oneness of Allah. Sayyida Aisha Siddiqa (may Allah be pleased with her) asked: Where will the Arabs be in those days? He said: In those days, the Arabs will be few.
