Narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Bakrah (may Allah be pleased with him): The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: There will be no birth to the parents of Dajjal for thirty years, after which a one-eyed child will be born to them. (In another narration: His navel will already be cut and he will be circumcised by birth.) He will be a child who brings much harm and little benefit; when he sleeps, his eyes will sleep but his heart will remain awake. Then the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) described his parents: his father will be tall and weak-bodied, his nose will be like a beak, and his mother will have large breasts, her bosom being big and long. Later, we were informed that a child had been born to the Jews in Madinah. I (Abu Bakrah) and Sayyiduna Zubair bin Al-Awwam (may Allah be pleased with him) went to his parents; we saw in them the signs described by the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him). Meanwhile, the child was lying in the sun covered with a sheet, and his humming could be heard. We asked his parents some questions; they told us: For thirty years we had no children, then a one-eyed child was born to us, who was very harmful and of little benefit. Then, as we left, we passed by the child; I removed the cloth from his head and he said: What were you talking about? We said: Were you listening to our conversation? He said: Yes, my eyes sleep but my heart does not sleep. He was Ibn Sayyad.
