Abdullah bin Alqamah bin Waqas says: I was with Sayyiduna Muawiyah (may Allah be pleased with him), when his muezzin gave the call to prayer, he (Muawiyah) repeated the same (words) as the muezzin said, until when he (the muezzin) said "Hayya 'ala al-falah," Sayyiduna Muawiyah (may Allah be pleased with him) said "La hawla wa la quwwata illa billah," and after that he repeated what the muezzin said. Then he explained that he had heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) saying the same.
