Hadith 1293

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Jabir bin Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Whoever, after hearing the call to prayer, recites this supplication: ((O Allah! Lord of this perfect call and the established prayer, grant Muhammad the means and virtue, and raise him to the praiseworthy station which You have promised him)), then my intercession will be made obligatory for him on the Day of Resurrection.

Brief Explanation
Benefits: … The adhan has been called the “complete invitation” (دعوتِ تامّہ), as it comprises the declaration of the oneness of Allah (tawhid) and the messengership (risalah), and in it, there is an invitation to come towards goodness and success. By “established prayer” (قائم رہنے والی نماز) is meant that this form of worship has remained in every community. The highest station in Paradise is called “al-Wasilah” (الوسیلة), and by “virtue” (فضیلت) is meant the most exalted rank. It is established from Sahih al-Bukhari (7440) that the “praised station” (مقام محمود) refers to that station in the plain of resurrection (maidan-e-hashr) where the Noble Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam will prostrate before Allah for the sake of intercession (shafa‘ah) on behalf of the creation, and this prostration will be prolonged for seven days and nights. In this prostration, the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam will praise and glorify Allah with words that will be inspired to him by Allah at that time. Then, a command will come from Allah for him to raise his head and intercede, and his intercession will be accepted.
