Hadith 12909

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Sa'd bin Abi Waqqas, may Allah be pleased with him, that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: The Hour will not be established until such people appear who will eat with their tongues in the manner that cows eat with their tongues.

Brief Explanation
Benefits: … This hadith is similar in meaning to Hadith number (5723). Its meaning is that just as a cow, while grazing, does not differentiate between dry and fresh, or sweet and bitter fodder, but consumes all of it indiscriminately, in the same way, some people do not distinguish between lawful (halal) and unlawful (haram), or between truth and falsehood. Nowadays, even sensible and intelligent people have not only come to consider usurious (riba-based) transactions as permissible, but are practically involved in them, while at the same time, in terms of methodology, they regard themselves as being upon the truth, as well as being observant of prayer and pious.
