Hadith 12904

عَنْ عَلِيٍّ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ: قَالَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ: ”لَا تَقُومُ السَّاعَةُ حَتَّى يُلْتَمَسَ الرَّجُلُ مِنْ أَصْحَابِي كَمَا تُلْتَمَسَ الضَّالَّةُ فَلَا يُوجَدُ“
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ali (may Allah be pleased with him), the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him and his family) said: The Day of Judgment will not be established until a man from among my companions is searched for in such a way as a lost thing is searched for, but that man will not be found.
Brief Explanation
Benefits: … Within one century after the passing of the Noble Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam, the era of the noble Companions (Sahabah) had come to an end. The last Companion, Sayyiduna Abu al-Tufayl Amir bin Wathilah radi Allahu anhu, passed away in 110 AH.
