فِتَنْ عَامَّةٌ وَأُمُورٌ هَامَّةٌ لَا تَقُوْمُ السَّاعَةُ إِلَّا بَعْدَ حُصُولِهاGeneral tribulations and important matters; the Hour will not come until they occur
Hadith 12868

وَعَنْهُ أَيْضًا قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ ”إِنَّهَا سَتَأْتِي عَلَى النَّاسِ سِنُونَ خَدَّاعَةٌ يُصَدَّقُ فِيهَا الْكَاذِبُ وَيُكَذَّبُ فِيهَا الصَّادِقُ وَيُؤْتَمَنُ فِيهَا الْخَائِنُ وَيُخَوَّنُ فِيهَا الْأَمِينُ يَنْطِقُ فِيهَا الرُّوَيْبِضَةُ“ قِيلَ وَمَا الرُّوَيْبِضَةُ قَالَ ”السَّفِيهُ يَتَكَلَّمُ فِي أَمْرِ الْعَامَّةِ“
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah, may Allah be pleased with him, that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "There will come such times upon people in which circumstances will change in such a way that the liar will be considered truthful and the truthful will be considered a liar, and the treacherous will be regarded as trustworthy and the trustworthy will be regarded as treacherous, and the most inferior people will speak (regarding the affairs of the common people)." Someone asked, "What is meant by 'al-Ruwaybidah'?" He, peace and blessings be upon him, replied: "It refers to those foolish people who will make decisions by speaking about the affairs of the general public."
Brief Explanation
Benefits: … Who can understand these realities? Who are the people making decisions nowadays? What is the condition of those individuals who lead the people? What is the religious state of the heads of families? What are the circumstances of those who roam in politics? The situation is such that even among highly educated teachers of Islamic studies in educational institutions, they do not adhere to the Shari‘ah etiquettes and boundaries; they freely mingle with unveiled women, and they make Islam flexible according to their own convenient and corrupt temperaments. In fact, I have heard a PhD professor of Islamic studies say that now we will have to find room for unveiling and for men and women to converse with direct eye contact.
