Abdur Rahman bin Abi Laila narrates that when Sayyiduna Ali bin Abi Talib (may Allah be pleased with him) heard the muezzin giving the adhan, he would repeat exactly what the muezzin said, and when the muezzin said "Ashhadu an la ilaha illallah" and "Ashhadu anna Muhammadan Rasulullah," Sayyiduna Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) would also say "Ashhadu an la ilaha illallah" and "Ashhadu anna Muhammadan Rasulullah," but along with this he would also say: ((WA INNA ALLADHINA JAHADU MUHAMMADAN HUM AL-KADHIBUN)) "Indeed, those who denied Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) are the liars."
