Mawla of the Messenger, Sayyiduna Thawban (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: I fear misguided rulers for my Ummah. Then, with the same chain, Sayyiduna Thawban (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Indeed, Allah, the Exalted, folded the earth for me, and I saw its eastern and western parts, and the rule of my Ummah will reach as far as the earth was folded for me, and I was given two treasures of red and white (i.e., gold and silver), and I prayed to Allah, the Exalted, for my Ummah that they should not be destroyed by a general famine, and that their enemies should not be imposed upon them to annihilate them. My Lord said to me: O Muhammad! When I make a decision, it is not changed, and I accept your prayer for your Ummah that I will not destroy them by a general famine, nor will I impose their enemies upon them to kill them and uproot them, even if all the enemies on the face of the earth gather together. However, this will happen: they will take each other captive, and I certainly fear misguided rulers for my Ummah, and when the sword is once drawn among my Ummah, it will not be sheathed until the Day of Resurrection. Also, the Hour will not be established until several tribes of my Ummah join the polytheists, and many tribes of my Ummah begin to worship idols. Soon, thirty great liars (Dajjals) will appear in my Ummah, each of them claiming that he is a prophet, although I am the last Prophet; there will be no prophet after me. And a group from my Ummah will remain steadfast and dominant on the truth until the Day of Resurrection; those who oppose them will not be able to harm them, until the command of Allah, that is, the Day of Resurrection, comes.

Brief Explanation
Benefits: … The sequence of the conquests of the Muslim victors was shown to the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam miraculously. Imam Nawawi said: Just as the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam informed, so it occurred. In this hadith, it is also indicated that the dominion of this Ummah will mostly spread towards the directions of the East and the West, and in practice, this is exactly what happened, and this expansion did not extend much towards the North and the South.

The two treasures of red and white (gold and silver): By gold is meant the treasures of Kisra, most of whose currency consisted of dinars, and by silver is meant the treasures of Caesar, most of whose currency was silver.
