Brief Explanation
Benefits: … In regard to the excellence of olive oil, the statement of Allah, the Exalted, is sufficient: {یُوقَدُمِنْشَجَرَۃٍمُبٰرَکَۃٍزَیْتُوْنِۃٍلَاشَرْقِیَّۃٍوَّلَاغَرْبِیَّۃٍیَکَادُزَیْتُہَایُضِیئُوَلَوْلَمْتَمْسَسْہُنَارٌ } (Surah An-Nur: 35) … (That lamp) is lit from the oil of a blessed tree, an olive, neither of the east nor of the west, whose oil would almost glow forth (of itself) even if no fire touched it.
There are many benefits of olive oil; Allamah Ibn Qayyim has mentioned these benefits in (Zad al-Ma'ad).
