It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas, may Allah be pleased with them both, he says: On the day of Arafah, a certain man was riding behind the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, and that man began to look attentively towards the women. The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, kept turning his face away with his hand from behind, but the man continued to look towards the women. So the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said to him: Nephew! Whoever controls his ears, eyes, and tongue on this day, his forgiveness will be granted.

Brief Explanation
Benefits: … The Messenger of Allah sallallahu alayhi wa sallam performed the morning prayer (Fajr) in Mina on the Day of Arafah, that is, the 9th of Dhul-Hijjah. After this, he proceeded to Arafah and, upon arrival, stayed in the valley of Namirah. This is the very place where, upon reaching Arafah, the Imam stays. When the time for Zuhr (noon prayer) arrived, the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam came at midday and combined the Zuhr and Asr (afternoon) prayers, performing them together. After this, he delivered a sermon to the people. Thereafter, the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam stood at the place of standing (wuquf) in Arafah.
The virtue of the Day of Arafah is established, as narrated from Sayyidah Aisha radi Allahu anha that the Messenger of Allah sallallahu alayhi wa sallam said: “There is no day on which Allah frees more servants from the Fire than the Day of Arafah. He draws near, then boasts about them to the angels, saying: ‘What do these people want?’” (Sahih Muslim)
