It is narrated from Sayyida Aisha Siddiqa (may Allah be pleased with her) that one day I did not find the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) at home. I went out in search of him and found him in Baqi’, with his blessed head raised towards the sky. The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said to me: “Did you fear that Allah and His Messenger would wrong you?” She says, I replied: “I thought you had gone to one of your other wives.” Then the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: “Indeed, Allah Almighty descends to the lowest heaven on the middle night of Sha’ban and forgives more people than the number of hairs on the sheep of Banu Kalb.”
