عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ ”يَخْرُجُ مِنْ عَدَنِ أَبْيَنَ اثْنَا عَشَرَ أَلْفًا يَنْصُرُونَ اللَّهَ وَرَسُولَهُ هُمْ خَيْرُ مَنْ بَيْنِي وَبَيْنَهُمْ“ قَالَ لِي مَعْمَرٌ اذْهَبْ فَاسْأَلْهُ عَنْ هَذَا الْحَدِيثِ
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas, may Allah be pleased with them both, that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: Twelve thousand people will emerge from Aden Abyan who will help Allah and His Messenger. Among all the people between me and them, they will be the most virtuous. Mu'ammar said to me: Go and ask about this hadith.

Benefits: ... ‘Aden is a famous port and city of Yemen. Even now, goodness predominates among the people of Yemen; they are tall in stature and excellent warriors.
