Sa’ib, the freed slave of Abu Mahdhurah, and Amr bin Abdul Malik bin Abu Mahdhurah, both heard from Sayyiduna Abu Mahdhurah (may Allah be pleased with him). The narrator reported, with some brevity, the narration similar to the previous hadith, except that in this one, it is mentioned to say the first takbir four times, and in addition, the following statement of the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) is mentioned: When you give the first adhan of the morning, say: "As-salatu khayrun minan-nawm, as-salatu khayrun minan-nawm" (Prayer is better than sleep, prayer is better than sleep), and when you give the iqamah, say twice: "Qad qamatis-salah, qad qamatis-salah" (The prayer has been established, the prayer has been established). Have you heard this? Sa’ib says: Sayyiduna Abu Mahdhurah (may Allah be pleased with him) neither cut the hair of his forehead nor parted it, because the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) had passed his hand over it.

Brief Explanation
Benefits: … This was a manifestation of the love of Sayyiduna Abu Mahdhurah radi Allahu anhu for the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam, that the very hair upon which the blessed hand of the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam had been placed, he did not consent to cut them or to alter their form in any way.
