عَنْ عُمَرَ بْنِ نُبَيْهٍ، حَدَّثَنِي أَبُو عَبْدِ اللَّهِ الْقَرَّاظُ، قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ سَعْدَ بْنَ مَالِكٍ يَقُولُ: سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ: ”مَنْ أَرَادَ أَهْلَ الْمَدِينَةِ بِدَهْمٍ أَوْ بِسُوءٍ أَذَابَهُ اللَّهُ كَمَا يَذُوبُ الْمِلْحُ فِي الْمَاءِ.“
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Sa'd bin Malik, may Allah be pleased with him, that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: Whoever intends to frighten the people of Madinah or to treat them badly, Allah will destroy him in such a way as salt dissolves in water.
