It is narrated from Sharjeel bin Saad, he says: We had set up nets in our garden to hunt birds when Sayyiduna Zaid bin Thabit (may Allah be pleased with him) arrived, and upon seeing us, he cried out and drove us away and said: Do you not know that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) has declared hunting in Madinah Munawwarah to be forbidden?
