Hadith 1262

Sayyiduna Jabir bin Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: When the muezzin calls the adhan, Satan runs away until he reaches the place of Ruha, and this place is at a distance of thirty miles from Madinah.

Brief Explanation
Benefits: … The adhan consists of the declaration of Allah Ta'ala's greatness and majesty, His oneness and uniqueness, and the testimonies to the messengership and prophethood of Muhammad sallallahu alayhi wa sallam, as well as invitations to goodness and success for the people. When these impactful words reach the ears of Shaytan, he becomes unable to bear it and, disheartened, flees. He only finds relief when he reaches a place where the great words of this great symbol of Islam cannot be heard.
