It is narrated from Amir bin Sa’d that Sayyiduna Sa’d (may Allah be pleased with him) was riding on his mount towards his palace located in the valley of ‘Aqiq. He saw a boy who was either shaking down or cutting the leaves of trees. He seized the boy’s equipment. When Sayyiduna Sa’d (may Allah be pleased with him) returned, people from the boy’s community came and requested that the equipment which he had taken from the boy be returned to him. But he said: “I seek refuge with Allah, it cannot be that I return something which the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) has given to me,” and he refused to return the equipment.
