It is narrated from Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) that Sayyiduna Umar bin Khattab (may Allah be pleased with him) stated that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Soon the people of Makkah will leave from here, and after that, they will not be able to populate it, or he said: after that, it will not be populated, except a little. Then it will begin to be populated and will become full, and it will be built up. But after that, when the people leave, they will never return to it.
