It is narrated from Saeed bin Amr that Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Amr (may Allah be pleased with him) came to Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Zubair (may Allah be pleased with him) while he was sitting in Hatim. He said: O Ibn Zubair! Beware of bloodshed in the sanctuary of Allah. I bear witness that I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) say: A man from the Quraysh will violate the sanctity of Makkah, and his sins will be so great that if they are compared to the sins of all mankind and jinn, his sins will outweigh them. Sayyiduna Ibn Zubair (may Allah be pleased with him) replied: O Ibn Amr! Be careful that you are not that man; you have read the scriptures and you have also had the honor of the company of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him). He said: I make you a witness that I am going to Syria for the purpose of jihad.
