الْبَابُ الْخَامِسُ فِي تَمْيِيزِ الْأُمَّةِ الْمُحَمَّدِيَّةِ مِنْ سَائِرِ الْأُمَمِ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ بِالتَّحْجِيلِThe fifth chapter regarding the distinguishing of the Muhammadan nation from other nations on the Day of Resurrection by their radiant marks
Hadith 12509

عَنْ أَبِي أُمَامَةَ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ ”مَا مِنْ أُمَّتِي أَحَدٌ إِلَّا وَأَنَا أَعْرِفُهُ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ“ قَالُوا يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ مَنْ رَأَيْتَ وَمَنْ لَمْ تَرَ قَالَ ”مَنْ رَأَيْتُ وَمَنْ لَمْ أَرَ غُرًّا مُحَجَّلِينَ مِنْ أَثَرِ الطَّهُورِ“
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Umamah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: On the Day of Resurrection, I will recognize every individual of my Ummah. The noble Companions asked: O Messenger of Allah! Will you recognize each one, whether you have seen them or not? He (peace and blessings be upon him) replied: Whether I have seen them or not, their foreheads and hands and feet will be shining because of ablution.

Benefits: … This is a great honor for the followers of the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam, that due to ablution (wudu), on the Day of Resurrection their faces, both hands, and both feet will be shining.
