وَمِنْ طَرِيقٍ آخَرَ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنَّهُ قَالَ ”إِنِّي لَأَرْجُو أَنْ لَا يَعْجِزَ أُمَّتِي عِنْدَ رَبِّي أَنْ يُؤَخِّرَهُمْ نِصْفَ يَوْمٍ“ فَقِيلَ لِسَعْدٍ وَكَمْ نِصْفُ يَوْمٍ قَالَ خَمْسُ مِائَةِ سَنَةٍ
(Second chain) The Noble Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: I hope that my community will not be incapable, in the sight of my Lord, of being detained for reckoning for only half a day. Someone asked Sayyiduna Sa'd, may Allah be pleased with him: How long is half a day? He said: Five hundred years.
