Hadith 12458

It is narrated from Zubair bin Adi, he says: We complained to Sayyiduna Anas bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) about the oppression of Hajjaj. He said: Be patient, I heard your Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) say, "No day or year comes upon you except that the one following it is worse than the one before, until you meet your Lord, the Mighty and Majestic."

Brief Explanation
Benefits: … According to the statement of the Prophet (sallallahu alayhi wa sallam), radi Allahu anha, even today this same pattern of rulers continues; from the character of every new ruler it becomes evident that the previous one was better than him, while people's hopes are attached to the new ruler.
