It is narrated from Abu Rifa’ah Bijli, he says: I entered the palace of Mukhtar bin Abi Ubaid, and I heard him saying that my brother Jibreel has just left from me. Upon hearing this, I intended to strike his neck, then I remembered a hadith which Sulaiman bin Surad had narrated to me that the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: When a man entrusts you with his blood, do not kill him. And this Mukhtar had sought protection for his life from me, so I did not consider it appropriate to kill him.
