It is narrated from Amr bin Ghalib, he says: I, Sayyiduna Ammar, and Ashtar went to the service of Sayyidah Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her). Sayyiduna Ammar (may Allah be pleased with him) said: Mother! Peace be upon you. Sayyidah replied: "Peace be upon him who follows guidance." Ammar (may Allah be pleased with him) repeated these words of greeting two or three times, then said: By Allah! You are my mother, even if you dislike me. Sayyidah said: Who are those with you? He said: This is Ashtar. Sayyidah said: Are you not the one who intended to kill my nephew? He said: Yes! Indeed, I intended that, and he also intended to kill me. Sayyidah said: If you had done this, you would not have succeeded. And Ammar! Did you not hear the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) say that the blood of a Muslim is not lawful except in three cases: if a married person commits adultery, or he becomes an apostate, or he kills someone and is killed in retaliation? (So did Abdullah bin Zubair (may Allah be pleased with him) commit any of these crimes that he was killed?)
