Hadith 12426

It is narrated from Nafi' bin 'Umar Jumahi, he says: I saw 'Ata bin Abi Malikah and 'Ikrimah bin Khalid, they stoned the Jamrah (threw pebbles) before Fajr on the Day of Nahr, that is, the 10th of Dhul-Hijjah. My father asked them: O Abu Sulaiman! In which year did you hear this hadith from Nafi' bin 'Umar? They said: In the year of Husayn's martyrdom, 169 Hijri.

Brief Explanation
Benefits: … However, this is not Sayyiduna Husayn ibn Ali radi Allahu anhu, rather it is Husayn ibn Ali ibn Hasan ibn Sayyiduna Hasan ibn Sayyiduna Ali ibn Abu Talib. He was a man of piety and righteousness, possessing both generosity and courage. He was martyred on the 8th of Dhu al-Hijjah, 169 Hijri, near Mecca in the valley of Fajj.

It is thus clear that this narration has no connection with Sayyiduna Husayn radi Allahu anhu.

Sayyiduna Husayn radi Allahu anhu was martyred on the day of Ashura, that is, the 10th of Muharram, in the year 61 Hijri, at the place of Karbala on the land of Iraq.
