Hadith 12326

Asim bin Damrah says: I said to Sayyiduna Hasan bin Ali (may Allah be pleased with him): The Shia people believe that Sayyiduna Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) will return again. He said: These people are liars, they speak falsehood. If this matter had been known to us, then the wives of Sayyiduna Ali would not have remarried, nor would we have distributed his inheritance.

Brief Explanation
Benefits: … The narrations of this chapter are weak, but it is a fact that many Shia have engaged in excessiveness in expressing love for them, and they have transgressed the limits set by the Shariah, using Sayyiduna Ali radi Allahu anhu and his family as a pretext for many of their self-invented innovations.

And the Khawarij became so opposed that they declared Sayyiduna Ali radi Allahu anhu to be outside the fold of Islam, and battles began to take place between Sayyiduna Ali radi Allahu anhu and the Khawarij. See hadith number (12822) and the subsequent ahadith and chapters.
