Hadith 12256

عَنِ الْحَسَنِ بْنِ أَبِي الْحَسَنِ قَالَ دَخَلْتُ الْمَسْجِدَ فَإِذَا أَنَا بِعُثْمَانَ بْنِ عَفَّانَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ مُتَّكِئٌ عَلَى رِدَائِهِ فَأَتَاهُ سَقَّاءَانِ يَخْتَصِمَانِ إِلَيْهِ فَقَضَى بَيْنَهُمَا ثُمَّ أَتَيْتُهُ فَنَظَرْتُ إِلَيْهِ فَإِذَا رَجُلٌ حَسَنُ الْوَجْهِ بِوَجْنَتِهِ نَكَتَاتُ جُدَرِيٍّ وَإِذَا شَعْرُهُ قَدْ كَسَا ذِرَاعَيْهِ
It is narrated from Hasan bin Abi Hasan, he says: I entered the mosque and saw that Sayyiduna Uthman (may Allah be pleased with him) was sitting, leaning on his cloak. Meanwhile, two men who used to serve water to the people came to him to resolve a dispute between them. He decided between them. After that, I came to him and looked at him attentively. What I saw was that he was a man with a beautiful face, there were some marks of smallpox on his cheeks, and his hair covered his arms.
