Hadith 1221

عَنْ أَبِي ذَرٍّ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ أَنَّهُ أَخَذَ بِحَلْقَةِ بَابِ الْكَعْبَةِ فَقَالَ: سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ: ((لَا صَلَاةَ بَعْدَ الْعَصْرِ حَتَّى تَغْرُبَ الشَّمْسُ وَلَا بَعْدَ الْفَجْرِ حَتَّى تَطْلُعَ الشَّمْسُ إِلَّا بِمَكَّةَ إِلَّا بِمَكَّةَ))
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Dharr (may Allah be pleased with him) that he held the ring of the door of the Ka'bah and said: I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) say: There is no prayer after 'Asr until the sun sets, and there is no prayer after Fajr until the sun rises, except in Makkah, except in Makkah.

Benefits: … The following narration on this subject is authentic: It is narrated from Sayyiduna Jubayr bin Mut'im radi Allahu anhu that the Messenger of Allah sallallahu alayhi wa sallam said: "O Banu Abd Manaf! Do not prevent anyone who wishes to perform tawaf (circumambulation) of this House or to pray therein at any hour of the night or day." (Abu Dawud: 1894, Ibn Majah: 1254, Tirmidhi: 868, Nasa'i: 1/284)
