It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Tufail (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Just as a sleeping person sees a dream, in the same way I saw that it was as if I was drawing buckets of water and irrigating the earth. Some black and some brownish goats came to me. In the meantime, Abu Bakr (may Allah be pleased with him) arrived; he drew one or two buckets, but there was weakness in his drawing. May Allah forgive him. After that, Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) arrived and he began to draw buckets. That bucket became a very large bucket. He drew water and filled the reservoir and gave plenty to those who came. I have not seen any young man draw buckets better than Umar (may Allah be pleased with him). Then I interpreted this dream in such a way that the black goats refer to the Arabs and the brownish goats refer to the non-Arabs.
