بَابٌ فِي النَّهْيِ عَنِ الصَّلَاةِ عِنْدَ طُلُوعِ الشَّمْسِ وَعِنْدَ غُرُوبِهَا وَعِنْدَ الِاسْتِوَاءِChapter on the Prohibition of Praying at Sunrise, Sunset, and at Midday
Hadith 1217

عَنْ سَمُرَةَ بْنِ جُنْدُبٍ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: ((لَا تُصَلُّوا حِينَ تَطْلُعُ الشَّمْسُ وَلَا حِينَ تَسْقُطُ، فَإِنَّهَا تَطْلُعُ بَيْنَ قَرْنَي الشَّيْطَانِ وَتَغْرُبُ بَيْنَ قَرْنَي الشَّيْطَانِ))
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Samurah bin Jundub (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him and his family) said: Do not perform prayer at the time of sunrise and sunset, because the sun rises between the horns of Satan and sets between the horns of Satan.
