Hadith 12116

وَعَنْهُ مِنْ طَرِيقٍ آخَرَ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ ”لَا طَاعَةَ لِمَخْلُوقٍ فِي مَعْصِيَةِ اللَّهِ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ“
(Second chain) It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ali (may Allah be pleased with him), the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: When there is disobedience to Allah, then obedience to the creation is not permissible.
Brief Explanation
Benefits: … The fundamental principle and rule is that obedience is due to Allah Ta'ala and His Messenger, and disobedience to both must be avoided. There is no third entity whose status, in the matter of obedience and disobedience, is independent and intrinsic.
