It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Bakrah (may Allah be pleased with him) that a man from among the Persians came to the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: My Lord, Blessed and Exalted, has killed your lord, that is, Kisra. Then it was informed to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) that he (Kisra) had appointed his daughter as his successor. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: That nation will never prosper which makes a woman its ruler.

Brief Explanation
Benefits: … In Islamic Shariah, the importance and rights of women are well established, but matters of governance and authority are specific to men; women have no right in these affairs. That society is unique in which both women and men understand and fulfill their respective responsibilities. Reflect that for a woman, performing the obligatory prayer (salah) in the secluded place of her home is considered superior and better than in the mosque, even though permission to come to the mosque has been granted.
