Hadith 12054

عَنْ مُعَاذٍ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ ”مَنْ وَلِيَ مِنْ أَمْرِ النَّاسِ شَيْئًا فَاحْتَجَبَ عَنْ أُولِي الضَّعْفَةِ وَالْحَاجَةِ احْتَجَبَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ“
Sayyiduna Mu'adh bin Jabal (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Whoever is given authority over people and he distances himself from the weak and needy (and does not fulfill their needs), then on the Day of Resurrection Allah Almighty will turn away from him.
Brief Explanation
Benefits: … whereas it has become the habit of those who attain positions of rulership that they are the first to distance themselves from the weak and the needy.
