It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Sa'id Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: In the last era, there will be a caliph who will give wealth to people without counting it. In another narration, the words are: He will distribute wealth among the people, but he will not count it.

Brief Explanation
Benefits: … From the following narration, it is understood that by this caliph is meant Imam Mahdi:
Sayyiduna Abu Sa‘id Khudri radi Allahu anhu narrates that the Messenger of Allah sallallahu alayhi wa sallam, while mentioning the story of Imam Mahdi, said: ((A man will come to him and say: O Mahdi! Give me, give me. So he will fill his garment with as much as he is able to carry.)) … A man will come to him and say: Mahdi! Give me, give me. Then he (Imam Mahdi) will scoop up handfuls and pour into his garment as much as he is able to carry. (Tirmidhi, and in its chain is Zayd al-‘Ammi, and he is weak, and he was followed by ‘Ala ibn Bashir, and he is unknown according to Ahmad: 3/37 with some advancement and delay in the wording.)
Further support is found in the narration of al-Mustadrak al-Hakim, in which it is stated: He (Mahdi) will give people the best of wealth.
