Hadith 12003

It is narrated from Sayyida Umm Hani (may Allah be pleased with her) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) came to her and asked for water. He (peace and blessings be upon him) drank the water and returned the remaining water to her, so she drank (the leftover water from him). Then she said: O Messenger of Allah! I was fasting. The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: The one observing a voluntary fast is the master of his own self; if he wishes, he may complete the fast, and if he wishes, he may break it.
