أَبِي ثَنَا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ مُوسَى ثَنَا حَرِيزٌ عَنْ حَبِيبِ بْنِ عُبَيْدٍ عَنْ أَبِي مَالِكٍ عُبَيْدٍ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِيمَا بَلَغَهُ دَعَا لَهُ ”اللَّهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلَى عُبَيْدٍ أَبِي مَالِكٍ وَاجْعَلْهُ فَوْقَ كَثِيرٍ مِنَ النَّاسِ“
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Malik Ubaid (may Allah be pleased with him) that it reached him that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) made this supplication for him: O Allah! Send mercy upon Abu Malik Ubaid and grant him superiority over many people.

Benefits: … The name of Sayyiduna Abu Malik Ash‘ari radi Allahu anhu is ‘Ubayd, or ‘Amr, or Ka‘b, or ‘Amir. He passed away in the plague of ‘Amwas.
