Hadith 11959

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Musa Ash'ari (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: O Allah! Grant Your servant Ubaid Abu Amir a rank on the Day of Resurrection higher than most people. Sayyiduna Ubaid (may Allah be pleased with him) was martyred in the Battle of Autas, and Sayyiduna Abu Musa (may Allah be pleased with him) killed the killer of Sayyiduna Ubaid (may Allah be pleased with him) and sent him to Hell. The narrator of the hadith, Asim, says: My teacher Abu Wa'il stated: I am certain that Allah Almighty will not gather the killer of Ubaid (may Allah be pleased with him) and Sayyiduna Abu Musa (may Allah be pleased with him) together in Hell.

Brief Explanation
Benefits: … The construction of "fa-qutila Ubayd" indicates that Sayyiduna Abu Amir Ubayd radi Allahu anhu was martyred after the supplication of the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam, whereas the correct matter is that he was martyred first, and then the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam supplicated for him according to his bequest. See Hadith number (11941) and the mentioned hadith in its benefits. In the last sentence, in reality, testimony is being given regarding Sayyiduna Abu Musa radi Allahu anhu that he will not enter Hellfire. (In sha Allah Ta'ala)
