وَعَنْ أَبِي الطُّفَيْلِ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ أَدْرَكْتُ ثَمَانِ سِنِينَ مِنْ حَيَاةِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَوُلِدْتُ عَامَ أُحُدٍ
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Tufail (may Allah be pleased with him), he says: I was born in the year of Uhud and I witnessed eight years of the life of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him).
Brief Explanation
Benefits: … The name of Sayyiduna Abu Tufayl radi Allahu anhu is ‘Amir bin Wathilah. He passed away in the year 110 Hijri. Among the noble Companions (Sahabah), he was the last to pass away. His death has already been mentioned in hadith number (11608).
