It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Whoever performs one rak‘ah of the Fajr prayer before sunrise, then that prayer will not be missed for him; similarly, whoever performs two rak‘ahs of the ‘Asr prayer before sunset, then that prayer will not be missed for him. In another narration, it is stated: then he will have attained it.
