It is narrated from Sayyiduna Buraidah Aslami (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Indeed, Allah Almighty loves four of my companions, and Allah Almighty has informed me that He loves them, and He has also commanded me that I should love them as well. The companions asked: O Messenger of Allah! Who are they? He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Ali, Abu Dharr Ghifari, Salman Farsi, and Miqdad bin Aswad Kindi.

Brief Explanation
Benefits: … Sayyiduna Miqdad bin Aswad radi Allahu anhu was an early Muslim Companion of the Messenger. His father's name was Amr. He was raised under the guardianship of Aswad, who had adopted him as a son, and for this reason he became attributed to him. Among the first seven individuals who openly declared Islam in Makkah al-Mukarramah, Sayyiduna Miqdad bin Aswad radi Allahu anhu was one. He first migrated to Abyssinia, then returned to Makkah al-Mukarramah, and then migrated to Madinah al-Munawwarah. He participated in all the battles alongside the Noble Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam. During the caliphate of Sayyiduna Uthman radi Allahu anhu, in the year 33 Hijri, he passed away at the age of seventy, and he was buried in the Baqi' cemetery.
