It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Seventy thousand people from my Ummah will enter Paradise without reckoning. Upon hearing this, Sayyiduna Ukasha bin Mihsan (may Allah be pleased with him) submitted: O Messenger of Allah! Pray that Allah makes me among those people. The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: O Allah! Make him among those people. Afterwards, another man said: O Messenger of Allah! Pray that He makes me among those people as well. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Ukasha has preceded you in this matter.

Brief Explanation
Benefits: … Sayyiduna ‘Ukasha bin Mihsan radi Allahu anhu was a noble Companion. He participated in the Battle of Badr and displayed great bravery. He also took part in the battles of Uhud and Khandaq. On the day of Badr, his sword broke, so the Messenger of Allah sallallahu alayhi wa sallam granted him a branch of a date palm, which, as soon as it came into his hand, transformed into a white, iron, and extremely strong sword. He continued to fight with this very sword until Allah granted victory at his hands. This blessed sword remained with him until the end; finally, during the era of as-Siddiq, at the age of forty-four, he was honored with martyrdom while fighting against the apostates.
