Sayyiduna Bilal (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that he went to the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) to inform him about the Fajr prayer, but Sayyida Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) kept him occupied in such a way that she asked him about something, until the whiteness of the morning became apparent and it was clearly morning. Then Sayyiduna Bilal (may Allah be pleased with him) stood up and informed the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) about the prayer and kept informing him repeatedly, but the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) did not come out. Then when the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) came out and led the people in prayer, Sayyiduna Bilal (may Allah be pleased with him) told him that Sayyida Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) had asked him about something and thus kept him occupied. Then the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) delayed further. He said: I had started to pray the two rak‘ahs of Fajr. They said: You had clearly entered the morning. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Even if the morning had become more apparent than this, I would have still prayed those two rak‘ahs and performed them beautifully and gracefully.
