Hadith 11821

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Jabir bin Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with him), the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Jabir! Do you not know that Allah Almighty brought your father to life and said to him: 'Ask Me for whatever you wish, I will grant it to you.' Your father said: 'Send me back to the world so that I may be martyred again.' Allah Almighty said: 'I have already decided that these people will not be sent back to the world again.'"

Brief Explanation
Benefits: … This is a great virtue of Sayyiduna Abdullah radi Allahu anhu. Subhan Allah! How fortunate was that son before whom the Messenger of Allah sallallahu alayhi wa sallam mentioned his father in such a manner. O Allah! Be pleased with our parents as well. They are not of this rank, but Your mercy is vast.
