It is narrated from Sayyida Umm Salama (may Allah be pleased with her), she says: I heard that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) addressed his wives and said: Whoever shows kindness to you after me will be extremely truthful and righteous. O Allah! Quench the thirst of Abdur Rahman bin Awf (may Allah be pleased with him) from the fountain in Paradise called Salsabeel.

Brief Explanation
Benefits: … It is understood from this that after the passing of the Noble Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam, his wives should be treated with the utmost respect and honor, and dealings with them should be full of kindness and compassion. Today, although the Mothers of the Believers (Ummahat al-Mu'minin) are no longer present, mentioning them with goodness and refraining from casting aspersions upon them—keeping in mind their human needs—is a requirement of our faith and conviction.
This hadith is a great glad tidings for Sayyiduna Abdur Rahman radi Allahu anhu.
