Imam Sufyan bin Uyaynah used to mention the names of the Nuqaba. In this context, he also mentioned the name of Sayyiduna Ubadah bin Samit, may Allah be pleased with him, among them, and he said: Ubadah, may Allah be pleased with him, is an Aqabi, Uhudi, Badri, Shajari, and Naqeeb.

Naqeeb: One of the leaders (naqib) appointed during the First Pledge of ‘Aqabah. These are the attributes of Sayyiduna ‘Ubadah ibn al-Samit radi Allahu anhu.
