Brief Explanation
Benefits: … The virtue of Sayyiduna Ubadah bin Samit radi Allahu anhu is understood from this, that he had the honor of traveling from Madinah Munawwarah to Makkah Mukarramah before the Hijrah to accept Islam and to participate in the First Pledge of Aqabah (Bay‘at al-‘Aqabah al-Ula). On this occasion, the Messenger of Allah sallallahu alayhi wa sallam appointed twelve individuals from among them as naqib, meaning responsible leaders and overseers. Among these nuqaba was Sayyiduna Ubadah bin Samit radi Allahu anhu.
