Hadith 11752

عَنْ قَيْسِ بْنِ مُسْلِمٍ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ طَارِقَ بْنَ شِهَابٍ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ يَقُولُ رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَغَزَوْتُ فِي خِلَافَةِ أَبِي بَكْرٍ وَعُمَرَ ثَلَاثًا وَثَلَاثِينَ أَوْ ثَلَاثًا وَأَرْبَعِينَ مِنْ غَزْوَةٍ إِلَى سَرِيَّةٍ
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Tariq bin Shihab (may Allah be pleased with him), he says: I had the honor of seeing the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), and I participated in 33 or 34 battles during the eras of Sayyiduna Abu Bakr (may Allah be pleased with him) and Sayyiduna Umar (may Allah be pleased with him).
Brief Explanation
Benefits: … The meeting of Sayyiduna Tariq bin Shihab Ahmasi radi Allahu anhu with the Noble Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam is established; however, he was not able to hear any hadith directly from him sallallahu alayhi wa sallam. According to the preferred opinion of the scholars, he is counted among the Companions (Sahabah). He passed away in 83 AH.
